Before starting this post I want to tell you, "Jub tuk sahi samay nahi aayega tub tuk kuch nahi ho paega." Or "Until the right time comes, nothing will work out."

During most of my consultations people ask — "What Can I Do During Rahu Mahadasha?" And it's really a big question because everyone wants to be stable in their life. After getting stable and getting resources/money on a regular basis, people feel secure and they think about marriage, child birth or future planning. But what if people don't know what to do in life?

Here in this post I will try to explain and guide them so that people going through Rahu Mahadasha can figure out what they can do in their professional area. Before knowing this, let us discuss about Rahu.

Rahu is a planet which always goes backwards (vakri) and a vakri planet always goes out of the league. I mean to say — out of the box. During Rahu Mahadasha, do not follow others. Try to do things which people are not doing, but do not go against your nature — and I will tell you what that means.

Rahu is a fluctuating energy. Rahu does not bring constant flow in life — it fluctuates. That's why during Rahu Mahadasha things go up and down. Sometimes you will see things going good and sometimes things are not going in your favour. Because of that fluctuating energy your profession goes up and down. Sometimes you have a job/work, sometimes you have nothing to do and just figure out — what can I do?

Breaking the rules — after Samudra Manthan, when Lord Vishnu was distributing Amrit (elixir to become immortal) to Devtas, Rahu broke the rules and changed himself as a Devta to get Amrit earlier. So, he broke the rule to get Amrit. Rahu will encourage you to break the rule to get things, and when you do it you will have to face the consequences also. So, be careful in this case — think before you do anything, specially during Rahu Mahadasha.

Rahu loves focus — during the distribution of Amrit, every Asur was mesmerized by the beauty of Mohini (Lord Vishnu). But Rahu was focused on his goal — and that was Amrit. Same thing you have to apply during Rahu Mahadasha in the area of profession. Have strong focus. If you get distracted then Rahu will disturb you.

Boredom during Rahu Mahadasha — during Rahu Mahadasha people face boredom and easily get bored in one profession. This is because if you are doing a job/work where you are not learning anything new, then you will easily get bored and try to leave that work. Rahu wants newness — try to bring that thing in your work.

So from the above discussion we learnt that we have to select a profession which has an out of the box approach, work that requires fluctuation (e.g. Contractor/Thekedar), if you are breaking rules it should not hamper anyone, must have focus, and newness in your work so you will not easily get bored.

That's why I prefer a creative profession which somehow fulfills all of the above conditions.

And last and the most important thing — identify your nature. Going against your nature will not allow you to follow a profession for long term. And the same thing we will discuss below.

• **Bring Rahu's nature in your profession** which I discussed above.
• **Take the house signification** in which Rahu is sitting.
• **If Rahu is sitting with another planet**, take the signification of that house whose lordship the planet has — specially if it is 6th, 8th and 12th lord because these lords will not help you to grow. If Rahu is sitting with Trikona bhav lord (1, 5, 9) it will help you to grow.
• **Identifying your true nature.**

First of all, no one can go against their prime nature — that is Lagna. That's why I suggest people to stick with a profession which suits their nature. So how to identify this? Observe your Lagna — which planet is sitting in your Lagna. That will be your prime nature. If you have multiple planets in your Lagna, then find the prominent one.

Let me explain with an example — if you have Venus and Jupiter in your Lagna and your ascendant is Sagittarius, then your prime nature will be of Jupiter. If your ascendant is Taurus or Libra, then your prime nature will be of Venus.

After identifying your prime nature, also take Lagna rashi and the prime planet's lordship. If your prime Lagna planet is Jupiter which is lord of 4th house (for example), then you have to take 4th house's signification also. So the interpretation would be — this kind of person should give consultation regarding land, property, vehicle etc., and these professions fulfill Rahu's nature also. Now let us discuss each planet one by one as a prime planet.

If Sun is your prime planet sitting in Lagna, then your prime nature is of Sun. Sun is king, leader, confidence, ego, government, fame, father, reputation, mentor, self identity, self respect, authority, power, status.

If you have Sun in your Lagna, then you are the boss. You cannot work under someone. So in that case, the best profession for you will be politics. Try to be a politician. Person with strong Sun in Lagna and strong Rahu become a politician with good position.

Suitable professions: Politician, Public speaker, Influencer, Contractor (Thekedar), Work on government tenders, Entrepreneur, Government advisor, Startup founder, Business related to energy field, Motivational speaker, YouTuber, AI strategy consultant, AI-based business decision tools, Automation for CEOs.

In short — show your face, work for fame and position.

Note: If Sun is the only planet in Lagna and it is debilitated (in Libra), then Venus (Libra's lord) will be your prime planet. But do the remedy of Sun. These kind of people are good in diplomacy, so diplomat can be a good profession for them.

If Moon is your prime planet, then your nature will be of Moon. Moon is also a fluctuating energy and Rahu is also a fluctuating energy — in that case, doing a constant job will be more difficult for these kind of people.

Moon represents: mother, emotion, silver, mind, inner happiness, peace, nurturing, mental health, water, food.

In this case, you have to choose an inconsistent career.

Note: If Moon is debilitated in Lagna (in Scorpio), take Mars as your prime planet. These type of people hold too much bad emotions.

If Mars is in your Lagna and sitting in exalted, own, or friendly rashi, then your prime nature will be of Mars. Mars is the planet which can control Rahu and Ketu because Mars is a commander and Rahu/Ketu are soldiers. That's why while giving remedy of Rahu/Ketu, we try to take help of Mars.

Mars is: energy, action, courage, aggression, physical strength, blood, fearless, disciplined warrior mindset.

I've observed that people who have Mars in their ascendant, even when going through Rahu Mahadasha, tend to come less frequently for consultations. This suggests that Mars is helping them handle the challenges of Rahu Mahadasha more effectively.

Mars people can do these regularly and they can bypass the fluctuating energy of Rahu. If Mars is retrograde, then the situation will be different.

Note: If Mars is debilitated (in Cancer), then take Moon as your prime planet.

Mercury represents: intelligence, communication, business, logic, analytics, speaking skills, writing, marketing, networking, and adaptability. It is a fast-moving and curious planet, and when combined with Rahu's unconventional and innovative nature, it can create highly skilled individuals in modern, tech-driven, and communication-based fields.

But the challenge is — Mercury gets distracted very easily. During Rahu Mahadasha, this distraction can multiply. You may jump from one idea to another, start multiple things but not complete them, or get influenced by wrong people. So discipline and focus become extremely important here.

Mercury + Rahu combination works best in online and digital fields where communication, trend understanding, and quick decision-making are required.

In short — use your brain, communication, and adaptability to create multiple income sources — but stay focused on 1–2 main skills.

Note: If Mercury is debilitated (in Pisces), then take Jupiter as your prime planet. These people may face confusion, overthinking, and lack of clarity.

If Jupiter is your prime planet, then your nature is of wisdom, knowledge, guidance, and expansion. Jupiter represents teaching, spirituality, law, finance, ethics, growth, and higher knowledge.
